Work

Work Header

This is, essentially, the long version of my working résumé. It features an outline of my production management, technical direction, and experiential/event marketing work, dating back to about 2003. My work experience extends far beyond that though (about fifteen [15] years now) and I may get around to adding it all here, but for now I’m only including semi-major work. This is a work in progress and I will be adding work, both old and new, to it constantly.

While a huge list of work experience can provide a framework for what I’ve done, it may not give you a sense of who I am. You can also gather a lot of insight from my social media profiles, but let’s look at some “big picture” items. I’m excluding most of my photography experience here. If you want to know about my gear, techniques, and philosophy on that aspect of my work, please check out my separate photography site.

Talents/Traits:
These are natural aspects of my personality.

  • Web: HTML, CSS, XML, PHP, Javascript, WordPress.
“So what do you do?”

I get asked this question all the time. In a title, I suppose the answer is “ I’m an Interactive Technology Experience Specialist”. As you can imagine, that’s difficult to fit on a business card and a mouthful in person. At the core, I create experiences. From the earliest phases of design, concepts, and ideas, through fabrication, logistics, and venue preparation, to construction and labor management, to run of show, consumer interaction, and data capture, to load out, recap, and show analysis. I am well versed in every facet of producing top tier, high quality, memorable, live events.

“A life in events…”

My long history in marketing, special events, and production has given me a very unique perspective and understanding of a lot of different industries. I’ve woven a varied, interesting, path through the video game industry, television, film, music, event production, technical direction, unions, touring, and everything in between. These amazing experiences have greatly contributed to my still increasingly diverse skill set, my vast collection of stores, a wonderful collection of contacts across the world, and fostered my natural talents for adaptability, problem solving, and learning.
